Our collaboration with Gwafuvegan infuses repurposed plantain skins, collected from local African and Caribbean businesses across Manchester by Ngwafu herself. We steeped the plantain skins in beer from a particularly fruity barrel for a month before packaging.

Aromatically, this beer is full of fruity, tropical notes. It's intriguing from the off. There's a hint of vanilla sweetness that brings out the banana flavour on the palate and is held together by a rounded fullness. Acidity is not too high and this works perfectly to really showcase the wonderful flavour from this otherwise waste product.
